What is number porting?
Number porting is done when you switch to a new phone carrier. When you port a number, you transfer the service from one provider to another.
How do I port a number?
When you sign up with Telzio, you can keep your existing phone numbers by submitting a number porting request online. All you need to submit the request is the account owner information and a copy of your recent phone bill.
Telzio customers go to telzio.com/porting to submit a porting request.
Is my number portable?
To check number portability, email support@telzio.com or write us on the chat with your phone number. We'll let you know if the number can be ported. In most cases, phone numbers are portable. In rare cases, a phone number may not be portable due to technical restrictions.
If you submitted a porting request that was declined by your previous carrier, contact us for help. Per FCC rules, you own your phone numbers and a carrier cannot refuse to port your number to a different carrier. What to do when a carrier refuses to port your number.
